Rognes in the Bouches-du-Rhône
Famous for its stone exploited since ancient Rome as well as for its truffle market, with a rich heritage history and wine-growing region, Rognes is located at the gates of the Luberon and its famous sites (Les Baux, Lourmarin, Gordes, Roussillon, Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, …), 25 minutes from Aix-en-Provence and Salon de Provence, 45 minutes from Marseille , Cassis, Arles and Avignon.
Provence, nature side
Nature lovers can take advantage of the hiking and cycling trails of which the village is the starting point or crossing point, take a walk and cool off in the creeks of Marseille and Cassis , get lost in the magnificent and wild landscapes of the Camargue , walk the slopes of the Sainte Victoire mountain , climb the famous Mont Ventoux and admire the astonishing landscapes of the Luberon (the ocher quarries of Roussillon, the fountain of Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, etc.). There are also possibilities for more urban but gentle getaways with the cities of Aix-en-Provence(which houses, in addition to its hundred remarkable fountains, numerous restaurants and refined shops), Marseille (its legendary Old Port and its typical restaurants) and Avignon.
